- UP DANCESPORT SOCIETY
- The UP DanceSport Society (UP DanceSport) is a duly recognized student organization of the University of the Philippines Diliman, based in the College of Human Kinetics and under the guidance of Prof. Mynette Aguilar and art direction of Mr. Jojo Cariño. With its mission to promote social, ballroom and competitive ballroom dancing within and outside the university, UP DanceSport has established its name as a performing arts group having performed in various events, and having successfully organized interclass, secondary school and intercollegiate ballroom dance competitions entitled Tagisayawan (September 2005 and 2006) and Strictly Ballroom (March 2006 and February 2007). UP DanceSport also aims to produce high-caliber dance athletes and future coaches and this goal’s realization continues to be reached as the number of its members joining and winning competitions not only in the intercollegiate level but also in the open pre-amateur category increases.
